No, it didn't cause me problems because I refuse to buy it and a friend let me play his copy instead. I transferred the saved files to a portable HDD. I've been tempted to buy ME1 for the PC since then many times, but until they remove the limited activations and DRM before the disc even begins to install content, AND provide a legally binding guarantee that such is the case, I won't buy it.
activate.ea.com/deauthorize/
Which is all well and good, however I shouldn't even have to deal with all that bull**** when the pirates have the superior version and didn't pay for it. I won't play by their DRM rules.
I got mine on Steam.

what do you guys really think the chance is we will see talis face?
to be honest .... i don't really think its going to happen *sad face*
Very high, 90-95% if forced to put a number on it. They have a face already drawn up, they know that the ME2 face thing was a huge hole in the roleplaying story line, and they have nothing to lose at this point. No reasonable face could get a more negative reaction than not revealing her at all, and Bioware knows this.
But were they to reveal her face then they'd stop the endless speculation I think they'll probably go the way of chief keeping it a mystery so well just keep coming up with our own

I view Steam as a form of DRM. Thus the reason I only buy games from it or games that require it when they are at bargain basement prices. And there are still some games on Steam that come with DRM setups on top of what Steam offers - idiotic really but then if that message of common sense had already sunk in to the heads of various company executives we might not be having this DRM war.
P.S. Steam store prices are often outrageously high compared to prices of the same games on Amazon, and even in some retail stores. I don't like to feel ripped off and I have zero loyalty to most companies, just like they apparently have zero loyalty to their customers. Price matters.

Tali: Um you know, just... a name I liked.
Shepard: Oh really? I think there's more to it.
Tali: You're going to make fun of me
Shepard: Come on, you know you can trust me.
Tali: Well... okay. When I was very young, my father gave me a doll of one of the native animals of Rannoch--it was very similar to a human's "teddy bear". That was the name he gave it, and what I always called it. It was one of the very few gifts I remember him giving me.
Shepard: Aww, Tali, I wouldn't make fun of that. What happened to it?
Tali: It may sound silly, but I always kept it among my things, even as an adult. I had it with me back on the original Normandy. I lost it when the Normandy was attacked.
Shepard:
*Three hours later, Shepard has secretly taken the shuttle to the Normandy crash site, and is digging through the engineering lockers among the wreckage*
---
I actually think I may develop this into a (short) fanfic!
