Focusing on pirates, faililng at stopping them and in the process hurting your paying customers is anathema to sound business models 101. It's so obtuse and ass backwards that I do actually think that it has the potential to kill off entire gaming markets unfortunately.

I wouldn't doubt it considering the massive surge in foul language from ME1 to ME2. If they keep the language levels the same from ME2 to ME3 and put ME1-esque romancing (or more, as someone suggested Tali--and for that matter why the hell not the other characters as well--suiting up) in ME3, I think they'll be good.Phil725 wrote...

Ideally, there would BE no pirates, and DRM would not exist. But no matter what DRM is implemented, it will be broken.
I think this is part of why I'm more of console gamer now. No real DRM to fuss with.

Aye. I have both a gaming PC and an Xbox 360. I am a PC gamer at heart and I become extremely frustrated by the ham-fisted and clumsy controls for FPS games on consoles. If a FPS exists for the PC and a console I'll take it for the PC or not at all. RPG and RTS games also appear better suited for the keyboard and mouse setup of the PC and thus I have very little interest in picking such games up for my Xbox 360 if PC versions of said games exist (if said PC games contain nasty DRM I simply won't buy the game(s) in question, not even the console version, or it will have to be second hand). Platform games, adventure games such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, beat-'em ups, sports and racing games are ones I prefer on a console.

This too. My old computer was a POS desktop that could barely run Doom 3 on low settings. Now I'm running a decent Windows 7 system, but now I have to make sure all the games I buy for it will work. That's annoying when I can just get it on a console and spare myself the trouble.
