It's not that I don't have inspiration. It's just that I'm worrying all the time if it's good enough or not. :(

Writing, like just about everything else, is completely subjective. You can never please everyone, there's always gonna be at least someone who perfers something else. The important thing is that A) you enjoy the process and B) you stay true the vision you had, and tell the story that you wanted to tell.
As long as you can satisfy A and B, you'll have a good story your eyes, and in mine:D

Thanks, mate. That helps. ^_^ I just hope it doesn't sound n00bish... I don't want a hundred "GET UR FAKTS RITE!" comments.

Yeaaa. I gotta watch your vids, btw... Haven't had the time yet. Must write fanfic... It's so hard!

Try not to force it when you write;) I learned that a long while back; it always shows through the writing (at least in my case). Better to let it flow naturally:)

Most of the time... Indeed. If you really don't have some designated term (In this case you really don't) it's better to write when you have ideas and not force yourself in writing. That would ruin you FF. I know it form my own experience. B)

Some of the most famous artists in history said that the best work comes when they really had to put it out (release comin near, money, etc.) :wizard:

Some people are working better under the pressure but not all. I think I'm not the case. Not always. :D

Ya, I learned that way back in High School Creative Writing class. We had to come up with new short stories of varying lengths twice every week. It started out great, cuz I was full of ideas. Near the end though, I was just chruning stuff out to meet deadlines, and even I could tell it was becoming really bland and formulaic.
So ya, at least for me, I kind of have to sit back, relax, and let it write itself:)

I think they only made the eyes glow brighter to give her face more expressiveness from behind the helmet.  For many reasons, both from a biological and a design perspective, I don't think they actually glow.  I think it ruins the expressiveness of her face and makes her look less friendly and inviting; it simply doesn't fit her personality, IMO.

Biological perspective? Don't use human biology on aliens.

I'm not, I'm using the concept of an eye.
An eye is made to detect light, no matter what kind of alien it is.  If something that emits light is inside the eye itself, it would unavoidably hinder vision because it would saturate the light detectors in the eye.  Eyes function best when the only light that enters them is reflected off objects that you're trying to see, any other light is a hindrance.  This is true regardless of specific biology, it is a consequence of physics and of the very concept of an eye.

Another thing is that TIM's and Shepards eyes glow, yet they don't get blind.

Hmm.. true.
Frankly I find that idea silly, but I guess they're willing to go there.
In any case, I hope that isn't the case with Tali.

TIM sounds like a nice guy, that was makes his personality great. His eyes just add to the seriousness.

???  I don't think TIM sounds like a nice guy.  He sounds calm, and polite, but that isn't the same.  I always got the impression that he was someone who was ruthlessly business-like -- he doesn't give me warm fuzzies, and his eyes certainly don't help him seem any nicer.  They are eerie, maybe even cool-looking, but not inviting.

This may have been talked about before, but forgive me, I'm not going to go through 3k+ pages to see if it has been talked about.

After watching several scenes over again with Tali, I'm thouroughly convinced that we are not seeing the "hair" towards the top of her head through the mask, instead I'm damn near certain they are forehead ridges, similiar to those of the Klingons from Star Trek. The more I look at it, the more I'm able to see them, in certain scenes I can definately make out 3 distinct "ridges"

Just throwin that out there, guess I'll have to wait for ME3 to know for sure.

Ya, i know what you mean. I'm always really nervous having Tali say bosh'tet. At the end of the day, we're pretty sure it mean SOB or piece of crap, but maybe we're wrong and I've misused the term a couple times already:unsure:

But all you can do is take a leap of faith and hope the readers will follow you on it;) If you're really uncomfortable with something, I'd suggest double-checking here. There's a lot of useful information there

If you look at the blank behind the mask, it's just a grey human-y face. No hair, no ridges;)

Well...Tali, and quarians in general would have to adapt to their planet...until we know what climate, etc. their homeworld is, we can't make assumptions. I believe the planet is in total darkness, and their eyes are white due to bio-luminescence

Well, we can say, they have very human-like shape of their skeleton (Even the shape of the skull) except for the toes and fingers.

Rannoch is a dry, arid world with a star much more ancient than earth's, casting everything in shades of orange;)
Check it out

I remember Legion saying Rannoch is dry and arid, with an orange sun and no insect life. So their skin would be scaled to an extent like desert snakes/lizards.

*walks in from Miranda thread" guys, this thread is legendary. 800 pages in Miri thread and they're playing guessing games completely off-topic. Tali has 3400 pages and you guys are still talking about Tali. Why do some suspect this thread fails the other Tali threads? Higher standard?

There are plenty of times when we trail waaaaaaay off-topic, it's just hard to notice when it gets buried with a hundred pages of fanart afterwards. :wizard:
