hahaha, it's an endless debate.  I maintain that based on his body structure and his height relative to his other crewmates, Shepard can't be any more than 6' tall and Tali is 3-4 inches shorter than him.

Not trying to sound gay but probably will, but Clay Matthews of the Packers looks to have the same length as Shepard and Clay is 6'3. This is based on the length of the femur, which is what physicians do to determine height and potential height without even measuring.

Of course I could be wrong, but I'm such an NFL junkie I'm 99% positive about this, I've been scoping out the height and weight of players for a long time.

6'4 is stretching it though, I say 6'2 :innocent: Making Tali roughly 5'11

The third toe on quarian females is indeed on the outside of the foot.

Don't know that we can derive anything from the color of geth.  The ones we see were probably built long after the morning war, and who knows how the geth have changed their own designs in the mean time.  Additionally, I'll note that while there are some similarities in the general body of the geth to quarians, I seriously doubt the quarians would have made a slave race look exactly like them.  That'd be weird and creepy (again, from a human standpoint, but that's all I've got).

As for diversity in skin coloration among quarians:  certainly possible.  Though I should note that they've losing all their diversity, probably.  They've gone from a population of billions to only 17 million.  There are probably whole ethnic groups that were completely wiped down during the Morning War.

Just a note Quarians have mammary glands… a trait that reptilians do not have, as well Reptiles don’t tend to look different from one another outside of size, or scale coloration or perhaps lacking or having some sort of extra part, There never a clear difference between male or female like in mammals.





Hand and toe number has nothing to do with reptile/mammal 3 toed sloth… have 3 toes and there mammals.

So how does 3/4 of an inch turn into 3 or 4 inches? Is Tali wearing high heels? Is Shepard not wearing boots when talking to Tali? Cuz they are literally nose to nose.

And for my part, I'm judging his height based upon his proportions (Shepard has neither long legs nor a long torso) and his height relative to his crewmates.  For example, Jacob and Garrus are substantially taller than Shepard, but they don't look more than 6'4, 6'5" at most. 

There's a scene when Shepard is talking to Tali that illustrates they don't appear as tall, I'll see if I can find it later.

It's interesting that the third toe looks flared out there.  Wonder how much control they have over it.  Then again, the fact that they bothered to give it it's own toe-sleeve-whatever in the suit's boot suggests that its freedom of movement is somehow important.

Again, I've got to wonder why the females need it and not the males.

She looks shorter than him in a lot of scenes...maybe it's all camera trickery

Well then, even if Shepard is 5'11", that still makes Tali quite tall

It's very unlikely that the Quarians would go out of their way to make automated workers look like them, beyond basic body structure (which would allow them to use tools and equipment meant for Quarians afterall). 

Consider humans robots; we certainly don't paint their "outside" to have skin tones. You could argue that Quarian psychology may be different, but it sure seems pretty similar to ours. Quarians are basically... space-humans.

Shepard doesn't have long legs? His femur is like 2 feet long lol  I need to find a picture of a full body shot.

understand the evolution theory, but aren't all Geth that greenish color
where their muscle fibers are (biceps, etc) and their outer armor
carapace thing is the colored part?

Maybe it isn't because it's freedom of move would be important but it's bone structure requies it. (Isn't able to bow itself closer to the foot.)

Here, check this out, just grabbed a couple frames from some of my video files:

In this first one, Tali and Shep are facing each other, and Shep definitely look a good 3 or 4 inches taller


But in this second one, taken in engineering, he only looks maybe an inch taller if that (pretty close to equal height IMO)


maybe it's just a trick of perspective, but I don't think the camera angle is dramatically different, at least not enough so to make shepard seem 3 inches taller in one than the other:huh:

That doesn't mean anything besides whatever artificial muscle fiber being used is that color.  I mean, the rubber used to make car tires is black and it has no bearing on human skin tones.
