I think it's been pretty much confirmed that they look extremely similar to humans So no amphib or reptile look is possible.

Had previously established in version 2.0 of thread. Had reiterated at beginning of version 3.0. Must finish Quarian Speculation document. Will assist in common morphology/biology questions.

ohh like i said it was for fun ... dont get so defensive about it

Issue is, it a topic that been WELL discussed and it got pretty nasty and is overall just not a good area to stray.

True, think I witnessed a dicussion on this subject yesterday, first time I actually posted in this particular thread. Didn't really give a good first impression.Image IPB

But I see now that everyone here is awesome! Afterall this is a thread about Tali.Image IPB

Ya... that was nothing compared to the past, Few people were actually trying to find a loop hole to make it work using RL DNA and genetic structures.. it got kind of creepy.

Hey Tali fans.

I'm doing an update of my previous pic of Tali with her ME2 costume on.
Here's the original:

And here's my preliminary sketch for the new picture.

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions or things they'd like to see added before I start scribbling in more details and begin the inking or coloring stages?
Thanks in advance.

I think it looks great so far, maybe you could add Chikktika? (Possible mispell Image IPB)

You're a great artist.

Chikktika is definitely going to be in the picture.

It's just a preliminary sketch. Third-toe is forthcoming.

Quarians are generally shorter and of slighter build than humans. Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts; they also have three thick fingers on both hands which include a thumb and an index finger, as well as two toes on each foot. Their ears or ear analogues differ in a noticeable fashion from those of humans, with references made to "what [passes] for the quarian version of an ear" (Ascension, p. 235).

The sentence about the toes is wrong, of course.

Slightly smaller than humans, human facial features, and different ears? I know many people don't like the space elf concept, buuuuuttttt..... :P

I read it specifically on the off-chance I'd learn something more about them, yes.

The Mass Effect wiki covers all the main revelations (mostly about quarian physiology) but there are a lot of tiny little details about their culture and politics that someone reading the book closely can make something of.

Ascension quote slightly off. "Quarian equivalent of an ear" very vague. Does leave room for Space Elf™. Do not prefer, though. Matter of genre/taste.

quarians,  I count the "elf ear" as a human ear case in the end it the

I mean look at it this way Krogan have lips we don’t say

there “equivalent” of human lips.

No matter how quarians end up looking, the space-elf monicker fits a lot more snugly on the asari.

Edit:  oh, an the toes thing is correct, but only about male quarians.

I wouldn't say it leave room for a classic Elf/Vulcan ear. Mainly because those ARE similar to the human ear....

What the hell is this from, and why the hell does it look like Disney? It's frakking hilarious.

I don't know of its origin, but it IS Disney. The artist got a scene from Beauty and the Beast, and added the Tali outfit over Belle and Wrex over Gaston.

Ha! That's why I recognized it. My sister was watching this a couple of months ago and I remember seeing that scene.

This.  They would've just said "ear" if they mean an ear (no matter how pointed).

Not sure why that description hurts the chances of that picture.  If anything, all the descriptions we have support a very human-like appearance, similar to that picture.  It doesn't speculate on the ears, so that's irrelevant for that particular face.

I've been kinda tempted to read Ascension. I haven't read a fiction book in like 100 years though. Still, I'm kinda interested in it. Maybe I should go pay Amazon a visit. :P
