I think a lot of the "work" done by the suit is done by the helmet. On male quarians you see many tubes and whatnot connecting their helmet to their body.

I'd also like to note that there seems to be a lot of sexual dimorphism in quarians.  In the game it looks like the male's heads are shaped a lot differently than the females.

I thought of this when I vote for Tali on polls. She always wins, so it's like the actual word, "put another tally for Tali"...and another tally, jesus christ one more tally

It means that in Estonian.

Nope. Talvi = Winter. Tali = Tallow.

Never heard the word "tallow" before in english, though. I just looked it up from a dictionary.
