Dunno, just happened sometime towards the end of ME1
The feelings went away during the break and I almost ignored her for Miranda then somehow the flame was re-kindled when I discovered she was a romance option

never looked back after that, Tali all the way

I think it's 2 groups, those that liked Tali so went online to join a fansite and found out it was bigger than they thought. The other is the "stumbler" who happened upon the forums (this thread) and read the OP and went 

Not sure I remember, but for some reason after playing ME1 one time I googled "Tali Mass Effect" and saw people were disappointed she wasn't a LI. The Tali Thread definitely influenced me, but I can't explain why I googled her name in the first place, so it must have been love
