I'm really not worried about her face, personally. I don't have an image of her face imagined.

I know two things: she has human features, and Bioware will try and make her attractive. That's good enough for me. Even if I don't feel blown away when I see her face, I know within like 10 mins I'll be in love with it. It's just how the mind works when you have an emotional attachment to something.

As much as I don't want her to look all Na'vi ( <_< ), James Cameron said it best when describing his blue Thundercats: They have to look alien, but human enough to be do-able

 I really don't think they'll model Tali's face after Liz's.

Oh sure, I can imagine them looking at pics of her face for inspiration and reference and all that good stuff, but I seriously doubt they'll just downright 3D model her face and call it a day.

Miranda's really the only one who got that treatment (though many characters do bare a resemblance to their VAs)

This would make more sense I suppose, it would probably be easier (and cheaper I imagine).

Although most of the time I just think it would be easier if they didn't reveal her face. I doubt that they will to be honest. Oh well, maybe, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.Image IPB

I still don't see how its easier to not reveal her face.  They already have the concept drawn up, and they did before ME2.  It's no work at all to implement it into ME3.  The only thing leaving her masked for ME3 will do is create a large complaint going forward.  Not smart at all for a company like Bioware that has a huge following of loyal fans that will buy anything with the Bioware label.

As long as they make Tali normal looking, the vast majority leaves happy.  I put the percentage of seeing her face at 95% earlier, I really don't see a situation where we don't see it.

I've just seen a lot of people complain about certain pieces of fan art depicting what she looks like. They complain that she's "too human looking" or "her eyes are glowing". Image IPB

I don't really care too much what she looks like, as long as it's remotely human( like quarians are described in Ascension) I'll be satisfied. I still don't see the big deal though, why people care how she looks I mean, we've gone through two games loving a character without even seeing her face. I think it's fairly obvious we like her for  her personality, not her looks.

The key thing to remember here though, is that quarians are already alien enough.  Their bodies are distinctly different than humans, and we know they have different ears and eyes to some extent.  If the rest of their faces are completely human, it's still a very alien package overall.  People just tend to overlook the fingers, toes, legs, immune systems, god hips, because we've become used to them over two games.

But that goes back to my whole difference between speculation and accepting the ME3 face thing.  A lot of people who criticize specific faces will later say that they'll accept whatever face she ends up with in ME3.  Aside from a completely hideous concept, I can't see more than a small percentage walking away mad.

Mostly, people just want to complain.  People will complain no matter what happens in ME3, but there will be a difference between a whiny faction complaining that Tali isn't their perfect ideal version, and everyone being mad that Bioware screwed us.

Don't you think it would look strange to have a human face sitting atop of that alien body? Wouldn't seem consistent to me.

Not really.  Like I said, the ears are different, the eyes will probably be different somewhat, I'm expecting a purple skin tone.  That's pretty alien overall.  Compare that to the asari who are just humans with a hat on, and the quarians wouldn't even be the most human-like race.

Quarians = space humans

They're by far the most similar race to humans (and I don't mean in appearance). They just seem a lot different because they're in those suits and have to live on the Flotilla.

Had the whole Geth thing never happened, we'd all have been "Damn Bioware got lazy with the Quarians. They're basically humans with three fingers and reverse chirality" back in ME1.

The body isn't very alien at all. The only real difference between human and quarian bodies are the number of digits and curved shins.

They look so similar in fact, that Bioware felt comfortable enough to use human skeletons as placeholders for Quarian skeletons:

Image IPB

They couldn't get away with that with any other race, except *maybe* Asari (though I suspect the skull may look different)
