I was hiding behind something until Tali showed up and helped me run up to the weapon and shut it down.
Couple things happened after that too.
Was very dramatic.

Started a new game as an engineer. I wish the classes were more flexible as biotics is my first love but being and engineer makes more sense while pursuing Tali as a LI, to me anyway. Plus dual drones is great as long as you keep Tali from leaving cover to get killed in the middle of the battlefield.

I love engineer in ME2.  Incinerate and overload is a nasty combo, and while the drone isn't as good as adrenaline rush, cloak or tech armor, it has its uses (wrecks Harbinger and scions,) and is fun to use from time to time.  I have engineer as solidly the third best class behind soldier and infiltrator.

What I like is the fact I can remain in cover and it draws fire and attention, as hardcore and up just floods the room with goons wearing the best gear, I mean husks with armor is just ridiculous.

My character is 'Archimedes Shepard', and you can bet he got teased for that name. Born and raised in space, again to mirror Tali. I'm surprised there isn't more reference to your origins in crew interactions. It'd have been interesting working on shields with Tali.

If it were truly 7 years old, it wouldn't have a dual core. :P

It would have like, a Pentium 4 with hyperthreading, or an Athlon XP.
