I decided to take a screenshot of the video because I had the youtube subtitles turned on and they can never seem to actually understand what is actually being said in the video. Just look at the game subtitles
compared to youtube's!

It could happen...

I don't actually see ME like a movie at all.  Its an interactive adventure where you affect what happens.  An inevitable death for Tali is not a good idea for Bioware by any stretch of the imagination.

Trilogies don't quite lend themselves to being tragedies. Furthermore, you have to factor in that video games lend themselves to greater emotional connection than movies; they're a more "intimate" experience. 

What I'm getting at, is that Bioware knows that most people would like to see a happy ending in ME3, and that a tragedy happening, like your LI dying (for reasons outside of your control), would be received with a significant amount of negative feedback.

The ship grazes against a part of a ship, Tali is in engineering. Horrible explosions echo in her helmet. She sees the fireball coming towards her, she runs, trying to run for her life. She feels the heat coming closer, warmer. She knew that she couldn't make it.

In an instant, she screams, nothing is left of her. Ash is sprinkled onto the bridge.

EDI contains the damage. "...Unfortunately, Tali did not make it."

The words ring in Joker's mind. Trying to hold the tears back.
