I agree that it could use a different caption.  The one used currently was one of the most questionable paragon decisions in the game.  I get wanting to stick it to Cerberus/TIM, but endangering all galactic life is a pretty dumb way to do it :?

I comprehend your point of view yet personally I take the opposite view that tinkering in ignorance with Reaper tech that has on more than one occasion demonstrated its ability to take over and corrupt sapient beings even while inactive may pose a far greater risk/threat than blowing it up.

Besides, if we have to harvest other sapient beings the same way to creater similarly powerful spaceships then forget it. I'm 100% onboard with Paragon Shepard's decision to blow that abomination of a spacestation to smithereens and find other ways to win the war.

I think there's a likely chance that the base could be more useful tech wise than anything else found in the past.  The game makes a point of saying that the collectors/reapers never expected anyone to reach there.  This isn't a situation where they left mass relays for everyone to find.  They could have a complete kryptonite in there, because no one was ever supposed to reach it.  I don't see the reaper making technology being used at all, more likely that its something like a better weapon like the thanix cannon, which IIRC, was based on Sovereign's weapon.

I also assume that anyone going there will be well aware of the risks of indoctrination.  Whether the teams chose to be safe in their exploration of the place has nothing to do with the decision really.

I just see the reapers as an unknown, near infinite power enemy.  I don't see forsaking any advantage, especially when the risk in this case (a more powerful Cerberus,) isn't particularyl hard to deal with.

Something just occured to me, In ME1 we had someone from Star Trek TNG, Marina Sirtis  (Counselor Troi) play a villian, Matriarch Benezia.
Then in ME2, it was Michael Dorn (Worf) who played Gatatog Uvenk.

Who from Star Trek do you think will play a villian in ME3, and what race do you think they will be?

Patrick Stewart plays Saren's father.

He wouldn't be a villain though, because that's over the line.

...wait Patrick Stewart plays the Turian Admiral and before the battle he says both "engage" and "make it so" that would be more Epic than 20 Yodas with Puppies!

Only a Paragon deals in absoluets.

And only a Renegade fails to consider, or heed at least, the ripples his/her actions cause outside of the immediate objective.

Question: Why does everyone consider zaeed to be old? He's only 40 while in the future, the average human lifespan is 130.

i second that, also the fact that Harbinger is still connected to the base somehow and the least i wanna see is being Cerberus/TIM corrupted/indoctrinated by a reaper.

In that context, maybe.

But it still doesn't change the fact that a Paragon won't let fear or intimidation stand in the way of what he or she knows is right.

And Renegades won't let anything get in the way of the mission.

The difference being that Paragons still get the mission done. They just don't lose themselves nor sacrifice the very things they are charged to defend in the process.

Say what you will! Drathan gave me a puppy over that statement!

The puppy will slowly turn you into a Paragon.

Think of it as positive indoctrination for a higher purpose and the greater good. :P

I don't consider him to be that old to be honest, unless you mean in game, then I haven't noticed it.
But this is a Tali thread why are we talking about Zaeed?

I know I'm a hypocrite becasue I was just quoting the king... But come on, he's the motherf***ing king!Image IPB
