I would lean more towards coincidence than forsight into ME3 roles.  A lot of things go into consideration for casting, but I don't think possible continuation of roles 1-2 years in the future is a main factor.

That said, I do expect the quarians to play a large part in ME3.

Well, here's my reasoning. 

Engineers can mess with weapons and shields, which is what soldiers are all about.

Biotics are effectively immune to tech attacks; they rely on powers and use barriers instead of shields.

Soldiers carry a lot of firepower, and biotics can't stop bullets (and are generally lightly armored).

I consider the Infiltrator to be kind of phys/tech hybrid, and it's what I'm most familiar with.  Armor doesn't bother me, and Shields are joke.  But I have the devil's own time with Barriers until I can get Warp Ammo.

I don't know, the Viper isn't too bad at bringing down Barriers, and besides, the ME2 Infiltrator has an SMG, and the Tempest is just as good as the Revenant at taking down Barriers.

It's still slower w/o warp ammo, because you can use disrupt ammo to eat shields and incinerate to eat armor.  And I use the Widow.  It's quicker at taking care of business.

yeah, what you say does have truth in. in ME3 i think you're gonna have to go around and unit everyone against the reapers so that means appealing to the admiralty board to negotiate peace with the Geth...

I enjoy your arguments because they're usually very informative and educational, I don't think I've ever seen you start an argument unprepared.  Then again, I like reading intelligent discussion on the internet, not much of a fan of spam and the like.  By about the 4th or 5th hour when they're just re-emphasizing points for the 3rd time and personal insults I tend to tune out though

While you may consider a page or two ago as "dead topics" that is my disposition on the matter. Why do you feel the need to make your definition the one that all others must adhere to in order to be "on-side"? A sign of insecurity perhaps? As for insults, did you conveniently forget the expletives you directed my way first? Or is that also not convenient for you to recall?

If you want this to be "dead" then all you have to do is let it be dead to yourself irrespective of what others decide to type in regards to the matter.
