If my friends can't accept Tali, then they're no friends of mine.  Funny thing is, 2 of my friends are fellow Talimancers (not here, just regular Tali lovers).  One of them actually used to be convinced that Tali wouldn't be romanceable since she didn't seem like a good character for it (to him).  He was proven dead wrong obviously, and in his own words "I've never been so happy to be wrong in my life!"  Now his wallpaper for his phone and computers (he's a tech guy, how appropriate) are all Tali.
