Iconic.  It's an amazingly sophisticated retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.

Unexpected. I'm somewhat intrigued. How does the animation measure up against the modern day adaptation of "Appleseed", "Appleseed Ex Machina", "Ergo Proxy", etc.?

Ahhh yes! The female Drow. Those matrons of cruelty and hedonism. I can thank BioWare for fulfilling one of my teenage dreams of scoring with a luscious female drow thanks to BGII.

It's done in a very realistic style along the lines of Ghost in the Shell or Innocence (same studio).  None of the ones you listed is a very good comparison.  Appleseed is actually pretty standard in terms of character design, and while Ergo Proxy is a little closer in the "real-looking people" department, it's still not quite there.

I would recommend it to anyone.

This. But yeah, as I played Arkham asylum, I read all the profiles of the villains, and most of them had tidbits of information similar to my childhood. It's scary...
