Remember how early screenshots of Thane were "tested" in the forum by bioware artists to the girls to see if they liked him?

I`m thinking the same thing going on here.

Those are good concepts.

The "only parents present" one would be pretty quick between my Earthborn Shepard + Tali though.

  Didn't get that DLC but in one of the books a universely trade language was mentioned

In "Mass Effect Ascension" the book describes the use of translation devices when the Cerberus agent Pel arrives on Omega. While some members of certain species do appear capable of learning the language and dialects of other species (ex. Pel's Quarian contact appears to be able to speak the human language - which I presume is some version of English but given the changing nature of language and the increased mixture of human cultures this may not be the case, or it may be form of English just as dissimilar to our current English as our English is to Shakespearean English).

With all the interest surrounding LI polls for both male/female players, I figured I'd do the same for Shepard's closest friends. Being limited to 20 options, I had to make choices. I settled for player gender/closest friend of your Shepard.

I know a lot of players will say "My Shep's best friend IS his/her LI..." but that's not the purpose of this poll. We want to know which characters are most appealing as best friends to Shepard.

Who's gonna play card or share a drink with him/her? Who's gonna tease him/her for daring to drink rynchol in the Dark Star and passing out on the washroom floor? Who's gonna be the one taking the bullet for him/her so he can return to the Normandy and shag his/her LI silly?

Handren, its fan art. Not BW.

It's fan art now, but it will soon be Tali's face and when I say soon I mean in 10 years when it seems ME3 will come out.

Yeah. Maybe Anderson; I kinda see him being like a father figure to Shepard. Although, it's unlikely a councilman will go into the Terminus systems.

Did you miss the part that states "fan-art" in the URL above? That means it's not official, as in it's pure speculation. BioWare is the only entity that has the authority to make something canon or not in the ME universe. This includes Tali's face....And that pic (along with other variations of it) has been floating around on this thread for a couple of weeks now.

Have no plans to write Shepard/Tali marriage... yet. Have real world project followed by Quarian Speculation codex entry of which this will get a mention. Feel free to use ideas. Would be interested in resulting fan-fiction.

I'm not super fond of it myself.

And I don't think it's impossible for it to be fan art. There's a million incredibly talented artists out there, and they don't all have to work for major studios.

Hell, maybe the person who created it does work for a professional studio (which is very likely), just not Bioware; did it for fun.

Excuse me. You don't speak on my behalf. I DON'T like it as representative of Tali's face. That said, I can appreciate the fine detail, skill and effort that appears to have gone in to creating it.

Also, your claims that this is BioWare testing the waters is idle speculation. Proof please.
