Anyway, I've really enjoyed the the banter, enthusiasm and all-around high spirits on display in here. Mass Effect 2 pulled me in and engaged me in a way that I had forgotten was possible in any media, and the sweet, touching and utterly believable romance with Tali was the high point of a game which, at worst, is better than anything I've played in years (and overall is the best game I've ever played. I usually like to get some distance before I make bold proclamations like that, but I don't think it's necessary in this case. I'm not about to change my mind). The downside to being so completely absorbed and invested in the experience was that I became legitimately depressed when it was over.
Enter all of you fantastic people, who have, in my humble opinion, created something extraordinary here. I hardly ever read any internet forums or comment threads, and certainly don't post in them. They typically create a window into the most petty, small-minded and troglodytic parts of humanity that I'm not interested in peering through. However, right here you have a series of threads of truly legendary proportion, with a huge number of people contributing, and almost everyone is really nice and respectful. I don't know that I've ever seen anything like it on the internet. It's a stunning achievement. Even the occasional trolls are laughably milquetoast. Seeing so many people who share my genuine enthusiasm for the game discussing it in a positive and mutually supportive way while enjoying the hell out of themselves the entire time has put me back in a most excellent mood. So cheers, Tali fans! I just had to register my game and get in on this action.

I've been trying to catch up with these Tali love threads for about a week, so I could be fully informed before posting, but you guys just move too fast! I got about 400 pages deep in the Tali Love 2.0 thread before I realized Mass Effect 3 would probably be released before I was caught up. Thus, I figure I'll just jump in and join the party.
