lol that was one of the cooler side-missions too! There was a VI on a moon station that appeared to have become sentient, so they sent you in to deactivate it. After you finished, you got to choose a specialized class, either Commando or Shock Trooper. 

Apparently my memory is failing with age.  This sounds like something I wouldn't have missed, but it's not ringing a bell at all.

It's a mission you get from Admiral Hackett once you reach level 30 IIRC.

One thing I will say about the Mako stuff is that it made hostile environments feel hostile.  You'd land, and it would be with dimly-lit red wasteland, and the air is choked by furiously blowing black snow or ash or something and it was like "Damn.  Shoulda stayed at home."

i didnt like the ones like this pic because the suns were so huge in the sky. firstly they would be more blindingly bright than ours is. secondly the radiation and heat would be very lethal. i guess you could try to explain that away with advanced armor and shielding though. but one i do remember you were on the moon of a gas giant and you looked up and the star was WAY bigger than the planet in the sky which i always thought was stupid.

Hello Andaius. I'm...a bit stressed. Plans have already been set in to motion which should effectively address the sources of said stress however. Will take a bit of time.
