I'm on the fence about seeing Tali's face in ME3. I can understand the frustration of people who don't think it's fair that Shepard gets to see something the player doesn't and want Bioware to stop teasing. I also sympathize with those who like the air of mystery the mask provides, and the ability to project their own ideas of Tali onto her. What side of the fence do my fellow Talimancers fall on?

i can go either way on that topic being i like tali i really want to see her face but at the same time i do enjoy the mystery and wether we like it or not alot of us have "fallin in love with the mask"
if they show her face they have to make her uniquely beautiful instead of just trying to make her "hot" for the fans

I can deal with not seeing her face but its a little frustrating when you know you want to see it but you know you can't.

I know some people have suggested Bioware let the individual player choose, but I don't think that works at all.  Everyone would feel compelled to at least look up what she looks like on YouTube.  Making her customizable a la Shepard is a little more plausible, but I think that might destroy the suspension of disbelief and make her seem less of a person.  

I think I just have to trust Bioware to do the right thing.  They obviously love Tali, considering how amazingly she's written and all the great lines and moments she gets.  I'm confident they'll do right by her no matter what they decide.

but to be honest the fact that they even made it possible for tali to die really pissed me off and wenn she died it wasnt a sentimental situation shepard barely did anything..
the fact they allow her to die makes me think they were gonna get rid of all those characters anyway...
but i could be wrong. shepards able to die and hes the main char and we all kno theres gonna be an me3 so idk
i can only hope tali is a squad mate and LI in me3

He was on a mission of the utmost important, mourning comes later.

They didn't spend an entire game on recruitment and backstory missions to cut them out of the 3rd game.

They didn't write love interests to put them on the back burner for the final game in the series.


Tali is going to be in ME3 and as a squad mate(if they keep that format)

its tali 3am were i am lol cant sleep too busy hyped on red bull and trying to beat me1 again so my me2 game is different

Thats alot of tali content to miss out on for ME3 simply to keep your playthrough solid.

I lost garrus my first time, if it was anyone besides garrus or tali i'd carry it over...but they're my favorite 2 people. Theyre a huge part of why I play the game.

I'm already working on an insanity playthrough and a 2nd playthrough where she lives...I just don't know which I'll import to ME3 first. If she's not a squadmate or a LI for fem shepard my choice becomes easer (lol), I'd probably accept her death though I still don't agree at all with how it happened.

I'm just glad that she survived in the Doctor's play through. If she'd died then the warpath Dmitri Shepard would have gone on... we'd have felt it in the real world from 180 years in the future.

I fully expect her back as a squaddie and LI, as I do all the romanceable squaddies from both games.  Like you said, everybody can die, including Shepard, and there's no way they're writing off all of these carefully-crafted characters just because some people are so horrible that they got their entire crew (including themselves) killed.  I have no hard evidence, but I expect that the vast majority of ME2 players saved all or almost all of their companions.  It would be a slap in the face to those people to ditch these great characters whose trust they spent so much time gaining, just because a halfwit minority were too stupid to upgrade the Normandy or do any loyalty missions. 

ME2 was primarily about building a team, and I don't think they'll waste all that effort just to have to create a whole new stable of recruitable characters for ME3.  Bioware obviously loves all the squaddies they created:  just look at the painstaking character design and facial expressions the art teams did, and the nuanced and varied characterizations of the writing team and voice actors.  If some fool was wretched enough to get Tali killed, well, I think his punishment will be to be Tali-less in ME3 while the rest of us are helping her save the Quarian race before heading back up to the loft for some quality time.

That is why I use my first playthrough as a lets have fun/explore. My second is "4 realz yo."

Weirdly enough I imported like my 3rd playthrough to ME2 (for no reason except that it was fresher in my mind). But with ME2 I decided I'd try my best the first time. Well, only two people died. Tali and Zaeed. With Zaeed it was almost appropriate that he die, but Tali dying felt like one of those things that isn't supposed to happen.
