your right, under most circumstantions, but I dont fit into those circumstantions, I survived (more on that later in my fan fic (fleshing out ideas)

Good question.

Daro'Xen reminds me a lot of Morrigan, and I've always liked Morrigan.
Han'Gerrel was actually very respectful despite his role, and he too had a great voice actor.
Shala'Raan came off compassionate and careful, she also helped raise Tali.
Zaal'Koris was an ass, but he was the only really rational Admiral.
Rael'Zorah, we don't see much of him.

I don't think Tali was skipped over in the promotions specifically because BW wanted to promote their new characters.  For one, EA handled the majority, if not all, of the advertising.  And from an advertising angle, Tali isn't very marketable.  It's a hardly known VA, a weird alien for people who didn't play the first game, and she's the shy, good friend character.  None of that screams marketable at all. 

It's much more effective to yell "Hey, look at this super hot chick, she's based on Yvonne Strahovski.  Go buy it if you want to see her bewbs!!!"
