Even if they make peace, I think they still need time apart.  Each side tried to wipe the other out.  One side was nearly strangled in its metaphorical crib by its parents.  The other side lost billions of people, including their uploaded ancestors, and have been galactic pariahs for generations.

No amount of blue text is going to fix that quickly.  I'd settle for just starting the process with a show of good faith.  Like the geth vacating Rannoch.  And Xen being exiled.

I think they would leave Rannoch. The game is pretty much pointing towards that.

They don't use the planet at all, they've been taking care of it, they get their resources from asteroids, and they want to build a megastructure, which would make sense to do so somewhere away from hospitable worlds, so that organics don't threaten it one day.
