Ash/Kaidan are loyal to the Alliance though, and they hate Cerberus.

I can somewhat see where they are coming from.
Although they have a lot less reason the trust Shep then Tali would.

A/K don't have that good of a reason to hate Cerberus.  They see the same peripheral experiments activities that Tali does in ME1, aside from that, its all Alliance propaganda.  Tali has the attack on the flotilla detailed in Ascension.  I understand them being loyal to the Alliance, but that doesn't explain forsaking Shepard completely for that loyalty.

I also think being a sole mate is a lot more of a reason to trust Shepard than Tali has after ME1 is over.

But they were probably caught up in the moment. They see their lover for the first time in 2 years after thinking he/she was dead, and find out your working for Cerberus.

They had heard rumors of you being alive, they had time to think about the possibilities and whether it was true or not.  Tali was caught completely off guard on Freedom's Progress.  Just look at the differences between how they react.  I'm not damning A/K for their reactions, but its a large knock against them when compared with how Tali reacts.

I still find it distressing that their first reactions when overcome with emotion from finding out that you're alive is to believe the Alliance over the person they love.  I find that more of a case of emotions leading to candor than anything else.  The Alliance is more important to A/K than Shepard is, and that's that.

 I know the Migrant Fleet will always be the most important thing to Tali, but I got a kick out of hearing her saying "If the Admirals have a problem with that, they can go to hell!" in regards to joining Shepard. 

Although she was upset over how many people died on that mission, which was ordered by the Admirals.
