Meh, they've wrote themselves into a corner. People are going to walk out of ME3 unhappy by the lack of attention their favorite character received and without a ME4 there won't be any restitution.Archonsg wrote...

So we'll be expecting like 14 squaddies? Will there be more in ME3 than in ME2 if everyone survives? And why
oh why does everyone forget Jacob? He's got abs, yo, just cuz Femshep
wants to molest the poor guy doesn't mean he shouldn't be mentioned ../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png
14 squaddies, wouldn't that be great.
Actually I am not sure if this would work. But you could be tasked to make choices at times, like in ME2 where you have 2 objectives or more to do and you can't be at both places at the same time. With the Reapers on the move this would more then likely be the case.
So, what do you think ME3 say making you form a secondary team. This team will "act out" their portion in the story and there will be "combat fatique" as in injuries and or casualties *if* you are not careful or if you are playing as the Renejerk and don't care who dies. Meaning that if you send Mordin, Samara and Grunt for the secondary mission you might not have them available in the next mission or will have to take another squaddie to let them rest so that they'd be available next.
On a side note. The romances in BG2 are actually much more developed, it wasn't just nostalgia.
