Quarians are not mammals, they are aliens. They are analogous to mammals in the same ways krogans are to reptiles.

Also, I'm pretty sure it has been confirmed in an interview that quarians do not have hair.

I think that hair is exclusive trait to humans honestly.
No other alien species has hair.

What numbskull told you that?

My eyes.
Turians: No hair
Batarians: No hair
Asari: No hair
Salarians: No hair

Shall I continue?

*Facepalm* You haven't seen what's inside a quarian's helmet. Quarians (other than the asari) are the closest aliens to humans... besides the feet and handsImage IPB

Or Bioware could just go "SURPRISE!" Yep, Quarians were the long distant human cousins several billion years evolved when they crash landed on earth."

Science Fiction, gotta love it.

Umm, Somebody, I have gotta ask you, since you are the resident Liarra fan here and after lurking in the Liarra thread for a bit, don't think they'd like anyone smelling of Tali to post there.
How do you think Liarra will rejoin the Normandy's crew, and what do you think her reaction will be like on learning that Shepard has left her for Tali. Fight / Flight / resignation?

The fact that the quarian home world is a arid world I'd lean towards them being hairless with leathery/scaly skin, but that's just my opinion.

It never states how arid their world is if I'm not mistaken.  Simply that it is more arid than Earth.  Plenty vague enough for any interpretation.  I doubt that their world is as bad all over as deserts on Earth.

Also, a certain climate is also no guarantee of a specific trait.  Plenty of hairy animals come out of deserts.

Yes... but rememer this Someone on the citadel in ME1 said something about how were not the only species with hair, and their were one or 2 others, so they were already used to another hair species, and since all you listed doesnt have hair... What does? that only leaves a Quarians and one other are in that few that we know of that have hair, since Vorcha doesnt have hair either, soo pretty much their is still one more species that we dont know of yet that has hair, and Quarians have a high chance for having hair

Why would they be the only race to have hair?

I just cant see it, I think they are hairless IMO.

*facepalms again* Mammals are a label given to species FFS! Asari are mammals! Quarians are possibly amphibians!

Meh, they've wrote themselves into a corner. People are going to walk out of ME3 unhappy by the lack of attention their favorite character received and without a ME4 there won't be any restitution.

On a side note. The romances in BG2 are actually much more developed, it wasn't just nostalgia.

Oh definitely.
Its all in the details.

For me Viconia will *always*...*ALWAYS* be the top girl.
-snip-

Though to be fair, Tali was given a fair amount of thought it seems by the writers and definitely more then the other LIs.
All we can hope for is that in ME3, they will outdo themselves. Its too bad that "real world" politics and the need to be "socially / politically" right and avoid a possible "media **** storm" has seen Bioware shackled their writing. Unlike Viconia's retelling of torture and rape at the hands of humans.

good story telling takes a back seat when being "politically correct". Its a shame ... I don't think Bioware will ever tell good enriching stories. I fear the worst for ME3..

You think Bioware doesn't tell good stories?
Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2! You don't think that any of those games had enriching stories! I'm suprised Shazzammer, suprised and dissapointed.
Bioware is one of the only companies to write enriching stories!

I fully expect them to have hair.  The only remote evidence we have is the females wearing headdresses as an analogue for hair.

From a logical standpoint, I also expect Bioware to make Tali attractive, and that means hair.  It is easily explainable into the story, and doesn't hurt anything, so why not?

There's BIOWARE'S twist. She looks like Jack only without tattoos and make-up. Good god I can see it now.

They decide to make her not attractive concerning normal human tastes, like hair, and then people really have to like her for her personality.

Its Liara btw, and you can ask em they are always happy to tell you about her hopefully coming back.

Most think she will kill the SB then finally be able to rejoin you.
Ask there for the in-depth analysis.

There was a thread floating about a while ago about quarian hair, I think the link was there. But don't take my word for it.
