I feel I will be posting "Goat Shepard approves" quite a lot. To save on time and space, I will simply say "Indeed".

The thing that gets to me about that is I'll bet Tali acts the exact same way in ME3 whether you're a douchebag or not. I'd like to see her mention the cruelty of Renegade Shepard, cuz at the very least, nobody would serve under 100% Renegade Shepard, if they did they're trying to get close enough to put a shiv in his back.

Agreed.
This is where older Bioware works (BG2) actually outshines anything they have now. Characters with a strong moral sense will leave / attack you if your actions don't gel with their moral compass or better yet, your actions will in some way influence a party member. Viconia from BG2 would be the poster girl (and what a girl she is!) for this.

Play as evil incarnate hungry to reclaim your rightful power as the god of murder, she'll be your first priestest, singing your praise and murdering countless along the way in reverence to your godhood, be the good moral compass and romance her, she'll actually turn from evil and try to lead a life that has her controlling her more murderous inclinations to the point of changing her alignment and become "neutral".

Of all your companions, your chosen LI should be at the very least be influenced by your actions. (Probably Legion too)

KOTOR 2 did this too(not done by bioware, Obsidian)
Almost all of your team adjusted their view based if you were Sith or Jedi.

Though **** Jedi. I like "Just a guy with a lightsaber" any day over Jedi.
Atleast the Sith are honest about their cutthroat intentions.

Maybe my Shepard(well, he does) likes some sexy underwear and told that to Tali, and in return, she went shopping with Kelly.

Short fanfic made by Ghostfire(maker of the pic) that came along with that picture:

--- “Are you sure this is what Shepard would want? He seemed to prefer me out of my suit. Why put more clothes on?” Tali's voice sounded uncertain as she nervously stretched the waistband of a pair of silky black panties.

“Not those; these,” Kelly answered with a little grin, holding a matching set against the quarian's envirosuit. “Unless his psychological profile is completely off the mark.” She paused to consider that, then put a hand on the fidgety girl's shoulder. “Don't worry, you won't be wearing them long anyway.”

Tali emitted a noise somewhere between a squeak of surprise and a word of protest that ended up being neither. The asari shopkeeper glanced in their direction. ---

He's also making a Shepard/Tali romance piece. I think that pic will be really nice based on his skill Image IPB

Must...play...game...of...mention. I played Kotor for 10 minutes when I was like 12 or something, couldn't get into it. I think it takes a certain maturity to enjoy games like these *wonders what the average age is of Bioware fans*.

also in Renegade Shepard's defense, I don't know what happens when you choose the Renegade option after Thane talks about his dead wife (something like, "is this a poor me story?", maybe it's not so bad, but all I picture is Shepard saying "Waaah my wife is dead, boohoo, get over yourself Thane". If he said something like that there's no freakin way Thane is staying under his command.

DA:O is probly best RPG I ever played, but since I haven't played any other Bioware games, that doesn't say much. Still best RPG for me but I still gots to play ME cuz DA:O is missing a certain something....what could it be...

It's the third most viewed poll right now. If they pay any attention to polls they've seen it.

Do you mean "hardnening" or the approval meter?

Though If you meant you could "convince" them to see it your way, yes, to a certain extent. Just not "life changing" for the characters themseles.
Hardening though, now I would like to kick the guy who thought choosing the one line at the right time in the daddy bags as "key" to changing a person's view of the world.  Works on with Lelianna and Alister though.  Its there, yes, but so minor it doesn't really change how you see them.
Alister still whines quite a bit (gonna kill him on my current playthrough and marry Anora) while Lelianna (and the player too) benefits the most from "hardening".

Still one line from that one single encounter to change one's life view? WTF?

There's Renegade , and there's "I kick cripples and pregnant women" Renegade.
Stabbing a merc scum in the back so he can't finish repairs...renegade, pushing a merc who tells you he's not going to tell you anything even if he has the info out the window is renegade, taking a head shot at a droid when the opportunity presents itself is renegade.... all these are "acceptable".

Betraying Tali, and everyone else because you can't be bothered to do anything for anyone other then yourself, that's not only being a Jerk a-hole "renegade" its just stupid.

I have NO idea how shooting a robot is renegade. Stupid stupid stupid.

Ya, that renegade interupt is barely renegade, more like the intelligent thing to do, but I put it in there to make a point that sometimes being "intelligent" means not playing "nice", and well, playing "nice" can be "Paladin Lawful stupid."
A better example would be Mordin's Loyalty quest when you shoot at the gas tank to burn a mouthy krogan that would rant half the day away if you let him.
He's gonna shoot you anyways, or you him, so why let him have the adavanage of cover and high ground + numbers. Blow the tank, incinerate a Krogan, one less to deal with. Again "smart" thing to do, but not as "clear cut" stupid in classifying that act as "renegade".

Its renegade because it's a bold action,  lrn2readloadscreens

Shepard should buy Tali a bunch of alternate enviro-suits. He just goes out one day and buys spends 50k creds on like 10 suits "I like the red one whata you think" "Shepard what the hell I don't need all these" :P
