Do you mean "hardnening" or the approval meter?

Though If you meant you could "convince" them to see it your way, yes, to a certain extent. Just not "life changing" for the characters themseles.
Hardening though, now I would like to kick the guy who thought choosing the one line at the right time in the daddy bags as "key" to changing a person's view of the world.  Works on with Lelianna and Alister though.  Its there, yes, but so minor it doesn't really change how you see them.
Alister still whines quite a bit (gonna kill him on my current playthrough and marry Anora) while Lelianna (and the player too) benefits the most from "hardening".

Still one line from that one single encounter to change one's life view? WTF?

The hardening, as well as the attacking you straightout if you do something they're completely against.. Such as Wynne and the Templars, or Leliana and the ashes.

Well Wynne and Leliana also leave your party if you defile the ashes.

Meh, as far as I see it, if they were REALLY as sacred as they were supposed to be, The Maker wouldn't of let me defile them in the first place.

Its not bad.
So far I have only done the first mission. (Playing DA:O to rebuild a lost character) .
Hover tanks are fun. Quite a bit of "platforming" involved though...betraying its console gaming root of concept.

I don't know and I'm not sure I really care either. When I clicked on a link to the poll it was broken. It didn't show up on the first page of "Polls", and frankly if the poll is between whether I like my Shepard or Tali more then it's almost bound to end up with me selecting my Shepard over Tali. Without him the entire ME story and universe that I've become invested in - including characters such as Tali - disappear given the way BioWare has built up the setting with a focus on wanting the player to associate him/herself with their chosen Shepard.

Hoping or thinking? You can only hope, I don't assume anything especially good things. Opens oneself up for disappointment.

I think I taked Lelianna into staying, while I killed Wynne. Not sure can't remember ...but that "achievement" and class spec is one of the more "retarded" ones. Why would anyone want to be a Reaver when being a Champion / Berserker is so much better. I don't know. Heck even a templar makes better sense.

I'm currently a Champion/Reaver as a tank warrior, devour and whatever it is that makes people cower in fear as well as increasing the efffectiveness of taunt and threaten are pretty badass... As for the achievement/spec unlock.. you don't even need to save to get those, what I did... Unlocked both, went back and replayed it... ^_^

I dunno how it works in the expac, but in DA:O
Str built rogues do WAY more damage then Warriors.
And Shale is a better tank then any sword and shield combo.

Mage tanking is better then sword and shield tanking even.

"I know you don't need them, but I do...for the mission" lol very suave.

Either
way, the point is DA:O NPC depth > ME2 x10, yes? BG2
I need to play if I want my squad to be REALLY influenced by my
actions. This I must do.

It's okay. You get what you pay for, and it was free, so take from that what you will. It's not real long (just 5 missions). The Hammerhead is a fun toy to play with, if a little arcade-y. It's not a floating Mako. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on whether or not you liked the Mako.

To sum up the entire DLC itself:

The good:
  • New vehicle
  • New landscapes which look pretty spiffy
  • More geth to kill. (makes you feel a bit like you're playing ME1 again, killing Colossi)
  • Free
  • Minibit of story
  • New clicky item in your captain's cabin.
  • Homing missiles.

The bad:
  • Can't save inside the vehicle
  • Vehicle has all the protection of wet paper.
  • No health or shield bar display on the HUD
  • Homing missiles don't always go where you want them to go
  • Very short.

The "make your own mind up":
  • Very platform-y. If you're not a platform gamer, you may struggle with some of the level design, trying to leap from ledge to ledge.
  • Precious little team dialogue. If you want squad interaction, this isn't the place to go for it

Pff! My Paragon Soldier Shepard would wipe the floor with Tali. Sorry Tali, this is one of those rare occasions where my vote does not go in your favour.

That is why after I realised that the poll was set up with the "generic" Shepard in mind, meaning *your* Shepard, no matter how you played it, its a poll "stacked" against Tali. Tali vs Everyone.
More to the point, it also means that should you choose "Shepard" in this case it would also mean saying this Shepard is your choice over Tali.

While its a technical point and yes, the above "Shepard" is not *your* Shepard, that is what I thought and felt.
Thus even though I had originally thought not to make a vote, considering both Shepard and Tali to be equal, I had to give Tali her vote because this poll is just wrong.
