Good point. I tried to defend our mistresses honor in a civilized manner, but the attraction drawn to their thread is not worth trying to enlighten the troglodytes.

But I would disagree about Legion having no personality, in fact I for one found him rather endearing and shall make it my quest in ME3 to make Tali get along with him better as well if possible.
The sweetest thing about Legion, as well as the purest bit of emotion he showed, was on the Heretic base when he scanned the servers, only to find geth confidential data as a proof of heretics spying on them. He was so genuinely confounded, sad and helpless when he asked "what did we do wrong?" that I felt an urge to hug the poor creature.

I haven't read "Ascension" yet - it's lying on my desk along with "Revelation" which I've begun reading. I dearly wanted to visit the Flotilla after reading about it in the ME1 Codex. I was pleased to visit it in ME2 though it did fall a bit flat of my expectations. I would like to see it in much greater size, detail and length in ME3.

Also when he says "There was a hole" and "no data available", priceless.  Who knew a robot could be so lovable.

You should post up a short review when you're done.  I've been tempted to read the Mass Effect books, but licensed novels have a well-deserved reputation for being utterly dreadful.
