Tali is what the developers want her to be. If they don't make her "available" for a Femshep, than she simply isn't.
BTW: If I remember the bombcast-interview right, the decision was rather, that Shepard isn't homosexual. Although that refered to the male version I guess, though I wouldn't count a romance between Femshep and Liara as really homosexual, since Asari are monogender.

Even the strongest of love. Love does not conquer all, and if it does it is by no means a guaranteed permanent conquest. That's reality. Harsh as it may seem at times.
Heretic! I will break and separate you from your loved ones for saying that love can be broken!
Unpleasant and unwanted as that is it is going to happen at some point. No one gets out alive. Such is the way of life - it is inseparable from death and vice versa.

Nothing, it's just between KFD's fawning and your meagre half-compliment, i just felt some real chemistry!

Plain and simple.
EDIT: She doesn't have to be bi or gay to be into fem shepard...It's a testament to how overlooked this concept is that such a viewpoint is even such a controversial topic: love conquers all.
It really is that simple.
Last I checked we still had a very touching moment after I saved her from getting exiled.

That is life, and it is universal.
Agreed. All things - good and bad - come to an end. Everything is just a moment. This is not to say that there isn't hope because as one good moment comes to an end it is entirely possible that it will be replaced by a new good moment and not necessarily a bad moment. And if it is replaced by a bad moment then that bad moment too will come to an end.

Technically monogender, but clearly represented as female.

Is there anyone else disappointed by the designe of the Migrand Fleet in ME2. After reading Mass Effect Ascension and comparing the Migrant Fleet to the one shown in ME2.
I'd love to have a Migrant Fleet DLC for after romance content with Tali.
I haven't read "Ascension" yet - it's lying on my desk along with "Revelation" which I've begun reading. I dearly wanted to visit the Flotilla after reading about it in the ME1 Codex. I was pleased to visit it in ME2 though it did fall a bit flat of my expectations. I would like to see it in much greater size, detail and length in ME3.
You should post up a short review when you're done. I've been tempted to read the Mass Effect books, but licensed novels have a well-deserved reputation for being utterly dreadful.
My opinion of the two books is likely similar to how yours would be once you read them, judging by your "utterly dreadful" comment. They aren't actually dreadful, just written for elementary/early Jr. High reading levels, I think. Don't expect multisyllabic words to crop up often.
But if you go into the reading of the books with the right mindset, one in which you recognize that you're here to learn more about the Mass Effect universe (and specifically Quarians/the flotilla with Ascension) rather than a truly engaging read that will have you on the edge of your seat, they're good enough for that purpose.
So yeah. Don't go in expecting Dickens, and you'll come out aces. Really interesting stuff about the ME universe to be found in them, though.

For once I actually admire the approach to a response on this subject (both this one and the one before). It's more thought provoking than the stuff I'm used to hearing. Irrelevant since that is a non-existent hypothetical situation. However, if we are going to delve in to "what if" territory then why stop there? Cast the nets wide! There's a whole galaxy with numerous species numbering in the trillions. Who's to say that Tali might not fall for an Asari? Or a fellow Quarian? Speaking from somewhat similar personal experience as an ex-patriot who has spent more time outside of his home country than in it, I can say that I have found many women from an assortment of different cultural backgrounds attractive while at times being repulsed by some women from my own culture and yet there is still to this day certain elements of my native culture that I notice in some of the women there that draws me in like a moth to a flame. To the best of my knowledge no other women have had that going for them for me though I have loved them deeply but for different reasons. Who's to say the same won't be true for Tali'Zorah?
I'm out of here.
I'm pleased by your response, Cutt. It was not my attention to ambush you with a barrage of responses (I was away when the discussion was still "live" yet I like to respond to comments/topics I find particularly interesting even if it is delayed). Since you are working you are at a disadvantage. Should you care to discuss this topic further at a time and place more suited for you please feel free to bring it back up and/or contact me directly.
Keelah se'lai to you.

Thanks! I like a good trashy novel as much as the next guy, but the quality of the writing in the Mass Effect games themselves is of such a high quality that I'm not sure I could tolerate a precipitous dropoff in the prose versions.
