No it doesn't, considering a gaming PC will still require upgrades, replacement keyboards, etc. And both consoles and PCs have to buy the games..

True. 60GB Hard drive cost 120 dollars. 300 + 120 = 420, could get twice bang for buck paying for new gaming computer at 800. Also, read fanfic. Comment. Enjoy.

I have both, PC and a console and some games play better on the console.  The only game I can see having a major differance are RTS's.

My low-midrange gaming rig cost me over a grand when i got it.

Aye gaming rigs require upgrades, however said upgrades are often years apart. Rather than the console user paying for a game every other month or so, then you got your mic's going dead, or controllers, etc.

I have payed well over three grand on my Xbox alone in roughly 3 and half years of use. That of course is not including the PS3 I had (sold it).
