Canon (fiction), material that is considered to be "genuine", "something that actually happened", or can be directly referenced as material produced by the original author or creator.

This exactly. They even didn't say anything about Shep in the books that could give *any* clue on a canon version of "him". "Him" because the books don't even clarify whether it's a guy or a girl. I doubt they'd change that now.


KOTOR's cannon never really got into Reaven but they mention his/her acts and they only refer to him/her by name only.


I know this is off topic, but KOTOR canon is actually very well laid out, as is the canon from about every Star Wars game. Canon Revan was male, canon Jedi Exile (KOTOR2) was female and if I remember correctly, all the light side choices are considered canon, as is usual for almost all SW games.  Lucas' people tend to keep strict control over what they put out. I wonder how it's going to work within The Old Republic...

Anyway, I don't care much for the last pic of Tali unmasked, but it's better than the furry sex from 10 pages ago :D

Canon is what really happens. its the "true" story of the game. Basicly set into stone.

You mean the "default-Shep" of ME2? 

I don't know, it's almost completely renegade...probably they choose this way, because it is the variant with the least ties back into ME1? 

I think BioWare has "broken the mold" with Mass Effect.

I agree.  They made player choice central to Mass Effect in a way that's never been done before.
