*edit*  Although I would imagine the Alliance could benefit from working together.  Just no need to go the Sol system, I think its been largely phased out of the ME series for a reason.

Noo Earths had to have been visited by the other races before, I mean I think before inviting another race into the Citadel they would check out the Home planet, to see if they're ready and to see what they can expect from that race...

Yeah, but the Flotilla won't be near Earth! They'll be somewhere between Mars and the Asteroid belt building our Destiny Ascension-one-upping Deathstar Super Dreadnaught.

The Quarians really do have a great backstory. I have a lot of sympathy for them, even if their treatment  of the Geth may not have been all fair. Plus, any race that could bring about Tali is all right by me.

 
Interaction created  sympathy turned into support turned into affection. An excellent story  indeed.

Slavery in America an example, my ancestors did this, so others may or may not  call me racist.  It's the difference between those who think logically  and those are, well, shallow. Someone judges Tali because "Quarians in that suit all the time, they must never take showers, derp", and I think to myself WHERE IS THE HUMANITY?!

Earth is 10 billion people.  Some turians and asaris coming to judge humanity to see if they're up to galactic standards doesn't seem like a practice that would improve the thoughts of random humans around the Earth.  People would resent "superior" alien races judging them even more.  It isn't like friendly turian greeters are going around shaking hands to improve relations.
