I'm getting the feeling that the way Germans feel about WW2 is very similar to the way Americans feel about the whole "exterminate the natives" and slavery.
Is that accurate?
It depends of course on the actual people. There are enough idiots here, that don't want to see what happened in WW2, but the general opinion is that WW2 and specially the Shoa was probably the most terrible crime ever committed.
But at least we seem to learn something from it, hence the EU and our liberal democracy.
All Tali fans, read this! IT'S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE! 3.0!!

The Teutonics also tried to attack Novgorod (part of Russia). They got there asses kicked.
Yeah... well... the teutonics had cool looking helmets.
"they had cool looking helmets"
Really?
But its true...
Well, the Pope did denounce the group but still had enough support from the Holy Roman Empire (Germany at the time) to keep going with there crusade.

Some certainly want that yes. But the general notion is to remember what happened and try to learn from it.Darth Cheesecake wrote...
So you feel kinda bad but you want to put that dark chapter behind you?
Because that is exactly how most Americans view the native wars and slavery.
