As far as I'm concerned, the characters were the story.Shazzammer2 wrote...

It's kind of funny how when ME1 came out people complained that the characters were kind of wooden. And now ME2 comes out and is totally character driven (which I love) and people (not saying this is you, BTW) complain that it has no plot.Shazzammer2 wrote...
you know looking back at ME1, I realized how huge the story was. Then comes along ME2 and...its just eh... Oh sure reapers are coming and the collectors are mean. So then why am I going about the galaxy killing Mercenaries. Ehh...I know Bioware is setting up something big but, sheesh talk about the "silence before the ****storm"
oh no, I didn't care if the characters were wooden, I liked ME1 because of the plot and character dev. Me2 I liked the character dev (still thinking they could have done soo soo much more) as well but the story...ehh.
And I agree with you its just that they could have done so much more. hehe, I guess thats the reason why I started writing out fanfics, I need some closure! <_<

Fingers gently stroking, response at every touch.
Lovingly coaxing upwards, carefully not to much.
Power building slowly, thrusting ever more.
Tali stands there mesmerized, loving her Drive Core.

Shepard: So... why'd you name your drone Chikktika anyway?
Tali: Um you know, just... a name I liked.
Shepard: Oh really? I think there's more to it.
Tali: You're going to make fun of me
Shepard: Come on, you know you can trust me.
Tali: Well... okay. When I was very young, my father gave me a doll of one of the native animals of Rannoch--it was very similar to a human's "teddy bear". That was the name he gave it, and what I always called it. It was one of the very few gifts I remember him giving me.
Shepard: Aww, Tali, I wouldn't make fun of that. What happened to it?
Tali: It may sound silly, but I always kept it among my things, even as an adult. I had it with me back on the original Normandy. I lost it when the Normandy was attacked.
Shepard:
*Three hours later, Shepard has secretly taken the shuttle to the Normandy crash site, and is digging through the engineering lockers among the wreckage*
