I don't even like Tali as a romance option, but I'd have to save the Rayya over the Desiny Ascension since everyone on that, even Anderson/Udina are representatives and can be, essentially, replaced... whereas the Rayya can't be.

It's been said, I know, but, *if* Bioware and the Devs decide to base Tali's face off of Liz (though they've gone with models for thier other Female/Male Characers) I would be more than happy with the end result. Liz is a babe, no questions, and as such Tali would easily be a babe as well.

I'm gonna pull out my cop out option and say it depends on the circumstances/likely scenarios afterwards.  The loss wouldn't be that bad for the quarians if I could be ensured that the quarians would receive aid.  If they would be left out to dry (which seems more likely,) I would probably save the Rayya.  On a personal level, the council sans Anderson suck big time, and Anderson should be smart enough to have an alternate plan of escape after he saw my Destiny Ascension decision last time.   It basically becomes pragmatism of increasing relations with the council in exchange for lives.  I prefer to save the lives and deal with the council race assery later.

The political blow back for letting the council die again would be pretty bad though.  Although at least this time there are less racial undertones.

Tali is purple in my mind for at least another year until ME3 comes out. 

I'm sure you know that we have absolutely no evidence on skin color though.  She could be pale, purple or orange
