I'm trying to figure out how to draw without being overly critical of myself.

... i for one dont think it can be done....

Chool is correct. It's impossible.
Whenever I ask someone if they like something I've drawn and they say I yes, I usually have to makes ure they aren't lying.
Doesn't help that when I notice just one thing wrong with something I've drawn and I instantly hate it.

Best to not draw an original pose, i.e. have a reference picture for comparison. Then you can compare your drawing to the other drawing and not compare your drawing to just Tali in general.
for instance, a pencil drawing or something of Tali in this picture? Dat pose! :wub:

Actually it's probably worse if you've taken an art class. Trust me, my art teacher always says "no matter how good something is, it can always be better."
So I'm always looking for a way I can improve my pictures, that is when I'm not being lazy.
