Qwib Qwib had one as well though, so did all the other male quarians.

I think it was just females that had different colored visors.

IIRC Kal'Reegar's faceplate wasn't black, was it?

I think the visors are customizable. In ME1 Tali had a dark blue visor (default outfit). Lia'vael in ME2 had a light blue visor, as well as some other quarians on the Flotilla. etc.

Works for me. Actually looks like Kal'reegar and co have blue ones and Han'Gerrel and admiralty board have black ones? Looks an awful lot like a glow on the inside from screenshots, too, but that's probably placeholder fx.

Could simple be that quarians, like humans, have different skin colors and the color hides their faces better.
