While on the subject, while I've only played paragon, from what I've observed from some videos and some save/load exploring, is that a lot of his renegade options when talking to Tali aren't even... renegade (not counting rejections of course). He almost seems like... an overprotective boyfriend or something.

see iv never been renegade to her .. so i dont know?

No, it would be easy for him. And it would probably be the most  ****hole-ish Renegade option in the scope of all the ME games.

Not only would it be an unspeakable betrayel to her, it's a risk to her life. Basically, it goes beyond renegade and becomes simply evil. I think it would be out of character even for a Renegade Shepard.

dont hold it above renegade shep.. the only thing they have not given him so far is lust.. which is not far off from where he is now

im not saying i like it .... but it could  happen

I feel like I have to defend renegade Shepard here.  He's a jerk/ass, but nowhere in the game does it even hint of him being that evil.  The worst renegade options in the game are explainable in some way.  What you're explaining is not defendable in any way.

Renegade just does not mean ruthlessly evil.

Guess the writers liked Tali a lot too lol and didn't want even renegade to be ***hole to her

and jacks helped the story ..how?

It helped explain her mind set a little better.  It showed her casual attitude towards sex first hand, and more importantly, it gives Shepard an opportunity to prove that his words are genuine.  Jack suspects he's just talking crap to score, like all other men in her life, and she basically tests him the only way she knows how.

ok ok true ture

but maybe shep does not even really win with tali if he goes for it all renegade like?

i just think if you have a the chance to screw up with jack.. then why not the other LI's

Because not all of the LIs are the same.  That's why its great.  A relationship with Tali, a young quarian with genuine feelings for you to start with is nothing like a hardened murderer who hates everything.  It would make no sense at all if they followed the same romance arc.

..... shep is human.. some humans just view sex as something to do for fun.. why cant renagade shep have these view and still try to go for tali

Well, like on her loyalty mission, when she's by that terminal. When she mentions her father promised to build her a house on the homeworld, he says something along the lines of "If he won't, then I will" (that's not it exactly, but it's something along those lines)

Another one is if you say "you're embarrased?" when she accidently admits having feelings for you. He goes "Wait, I can't tell under the helmet, are you blushing?" but he says it in a playful voice.

Some humans do, but Shep isn't any human.  He is a fluid character, but he has set character maximums and minimums.  No matter what you do, you can't make Shepard a serial killing rapist.  It just isn't an option that Bioware gives you.  Its out of his character spectrum.  The act that your stating of manipulating and risking Tali's life for your own pleasure is out of that spectrum as well.

Don't get me wrong, 100% renegade Shepard is a complete jerk, to the point that it most likely gets everyone killed.  That said, there is a limit to his evilness.  And what your describing is beyond that limit.

Oh, another "Renegade" option is when you find her dad's body. The "The Geth cut him off" option makes him say "You don't know how he would've ended that message" (basically, suggesting that it could've ended with her father saying he loved her or something like that)

I kind of assumed those were the only good ones, since they're the only ones I've seen mentioned on here before.  Not like I'm going to go around giving renegade responses to her though, so guess I won't know.

I do wish she would respond better to those renegade ones you listed though.  The promise on building her a house doesn't seem to have any effect at all, and the playful teasing could have been so much better.  As is, it sounds very clunky and out of place, going from teasing back to the normal dialogue.

Well, there are worst things I can imagine, but within the scope of the games, I do think that would be the most "evil" thing renegade Shepard has done.

I mean yeah, he kills a lot of people that don't need to die, but at the same time, those kills always have some tactical reasoning--someone who's dangerous to keep alive, someone who might attack back, etc.

I really like Jack's romance.  I had to watch it on youtube though because of the damn Talindoctrination

Its so hard to avoid all of Tali's random lines that make me fall for her

Jack offered to have sex with him.  Accepting her offer isn't a completely evil move.  Its the wrong thing to do, but it isn't risking her life, and you didn't have the intention of manipulating her into sex in the first place.

If Tali offered to have sex with you with no real provocation, it wouldn't be completely evil to accept her offer either.  The catch is that will never happen.  She can't have casual sex for one thing, its apples to oranges comparing Tali and Jack.  Jack can have all the sex she wants, with Tali, you risk her life.  Her mindset is also completely different than Jack.  She is in a first love stage with Shepard, and wants a real relationship.  She isn't going to go around offering sex just because she can, because she can't, and doesn't want to.

The assumption here is that to get the option with Tali, you would have to full out manipulate her into sex.  Which like I said, is beyond maximum renegade.

I'm just fine with those words never passing my ears, regardless of medium, thank you very much B)

If I ever do pull off a playthrough where I don't romance Tali (won't happen,) I would just never talk to her.
