Jack offered to have sex with him.  Accepting her offer isn't a completely evil move.  Its the wrong thing to do, but it isn't risking her life, and you didn't have the intention of manipulating her into sex in the first place.

If Tali offered to have sex with you with no real provocation, it wouldn't be completely evil to accept her offer either.  The catch is that will never happen.  She can't have casual sex for one thing, its apples to oranges comparing Tali and Jack.  Jack can have all the sex she wants, with Tali, you risk her life.  Her mindset is also completely different than Jack.  She is in a first love stage with Shepard, and wants a real relationship.  She isn't going to go around offering sex just because she can, because she can't, and doesn't want to.

The assumption here is that to get the option with Tali, you would have to full out manipulate her into sex.  Which like I said, is beyond maximum renegade.

This is worded extremely well and I agree 100%

I'd also like to comment that the phrase "maximum renegade" (not in the context you used it, of course) sounds utterly badass. I'm renaming the Normandy to that.

Some humans do, but Shep isn't any human.  He is a fluid character, but he has set character maximums and minimums.  No matter what you do, you can't make Shepard a serial killing rapist.  It just isn't an option that Bioware gives you.  Its out of his character spectrum.  The act that your stating of manipulating and risking Tali's life for your own pleasure is out of that spectrum as well.

i dont see how shep thinking sex is just for fun would stop him from doing his job?..   did not stop him for jack!!

well then how is it a "good" thing to risk having sex with tali in the first place... a true paragon would not want to risk her health in any way, or is that not in his spectrum:P

Yeah, it's really sad. She says it in a very casual (obviously a defense) way, too. Damnit, I'm sad now that remember it.

I'm going to watch that Tali compilation vid to make myself feel better.

Saddest line in the game. :crying: (When you tell her you don't share feelings for her)
Not that I ever chose it, only saw it on Youtube.

I'm just fine with those words never passing my ears, regardless of medium, thank you very much B)
If I ever do pull off a playthrough where I don't romance Tali (won't happen,) I would just never talk to her.

That's what I do, I know that if I went to talk to her the romance thing would eventually come up and I would be all d'aaawwwwww instead of refusing :pinched:

But there are pitfalls everywhere.  You have to avoid Kelly's speech telling you that she's interested, you have to avoid the journal's on Haestrom, and her whole loyalty mission is a mine field that I haven't been able to get past without getting sucked in.

"Its fun watching you shout."
"I got better, I got you."

I never had a chance.

I request the adorable start of romance gif to counteract these negative waves B)

i agree
from what i heard though when you say you like her and then break up with her right after i heard that was so mean and sad....put tali up before i cry :crying:

Very sad..
To me the saddest lines are when you don't hug her and the conversation when she says "You have no idea what it is like" (in the Alerei too),  she sound angry but then sad.

Not sure what you mean, maximum paragon doesn't risk her health.  The break up option with her is a paragon option where you state that its too dangerous.  Its a good example of maximum paragon not always being the best course of action.

Its a "good" move to have sex with her, because you can tell what Shepard means to her.  If she is willing to risk her life for you, that should be good enough.  She's a grown woman, she can make her own decisions about what's important to her.  Shep's feelings are real, and if her feelings are strong enough that she would risk everything, who am I to tell her that it isn't her decision to make?

I chose the neutral option at the end of the (near the drivecore) dialog, and I really liked her response. It wasn't as good as "Oh..oh, right. Yes. Definitely..." but you tell her that you'll wait until she's ready, and she response with:

'I'll let you know, I promise." The way she says "I promise" is just so... :wub::wub:

You mean an option to just ask for sex without a relationship?  That wouldn't be out of the question for renegade Shep I guess, but there's no way that Tali would even consider it though.

And for the record, Shepard not loving Tali is a myth.  Completely untrue and impossible :wizard:

The same reason you can't have a new conversation with Tali after defeating the collectors or even respond to Ashley's email telling her you're no longer interested.  Limitations of the game.  They can't put in every possible situation, and they made the decision for you that Shepard thinks more of Tali than to even have that option.  I can't disagree
