I seem to remember discussing a codex entry about how Quarian suits handle digestion. It is the secondary entry under Ships and Vehicles--Starships: Quarian Liveships. Though it diesn't go into specifics as to how "waste" is handled, it mentions that it is somehow used to fertilize the liveships' crops. These crops are sterilized with radiation, ground into "nutritious pastes" and pumped into the suits via feeding tubes. It goes on to say that they only eat meat when it is found at vendors/markets as the ships cannot sustain livestock. These dextro-based meats are also eaten in a sterilized paste form. Though, the culinary shock of foreign culinary items often leads to hangover-like symptoms even when sterilized...

You trying to find out how waste is handled in the suit or by ships?

just looking for anything really. We were wondering how the suit handled eating/expelling of digested material and any details therein. Turns out it was buried in the secondary codex:mellow:

on ships quarians have a stove which is used for cooking, presumably they take their helmets off to eat while on board. 3 Liveships grow food which is sent out to the fleet. Seeto explains this in Ascension. When out of the flotilla there is a sealable feeding tube on the underside of the helmet for the nutrient paste. I think Golo explains this.
For waste there are cleanroom bathrooms on ship where they can clean themselves and use the facilities. When away from the flotilla they can store waste in sealed compartments between the inner & outer layers (several days worth) of the suit and then flushed in any toilet when they want. All that is in Ascension a must read for anyone interested in quarians. I would assume waste would be recycled. i live in Florida and in my county they are looking at being able to recycle waste water to drinkable water. This would have to be done by the quarians, like on the space shuttle or the old mir station. Solid waste (not trying to get gross) would have to be purified as compost or manure is here on earth to be used a fertilizer. Again the waste on ships isn't really discussed in the book, but by being a closed system absolutly everything would have to be re-used. Hope this helps...

I have enough trouble playing as a Femshep, I couldn't stand an entire game being forced to play a woman.
