I like how they did the hand there.  Very detailed.  I'm not a big fan of Tali's alternate outfit, though.

I like the alt suit. getting it coincides with Tali becoming more openminded about her people and the Geth. The brighter/gold metals and white veil kinda symbolize her as making a fresh start... or atleast that's how I saw it. the white veil was also a pretty neat symbol in and of itself when you consider that you can start romancing her once she gets it

Hadn't thought of it that way and I like your reasoning very much. 

However, the part I don't like is the strap color.  The gold is a little too much contrast.
