Somehow seriously doubt arranged marriages for quarians...
Why not?
I thought it might actually fit into their society. "Mixing" the genetic pool as it were. Raya arranges marriages to Neema, or to any other ship so that their gene pool does not stagnate, no?
Also, thought that in a society as close knit and closed off as the Quarians, family history and lineage would play a part in one's "eligibility" would it not? Tali for instance would probably be considered a prize catch for any Quarian male. Too bad Shepard got there first.

Yeah, I know it's unlikely he'd join the Normandy. But it's a lot more fun to imagine him yelling "Tali, why do you have such a bad fever?!" than him just flying around on his own ship.

I'm fairly certain that the pilgramage takes care of the "shallow gene pool" problem.
Also, if their marriages were arranged that would mean they would be regulated onto predetermined ships post pilgramage.
Which they're not.

I know, but Rael seems like the kinda guy who would want Tali to marry someone he approved of

There is currently a thread started about the "Tali thread phenomenon", why it is so long. Please believe me...I'm just very curious. I've been at this internet thingie a long time, and a member of lots of boards...and until now, I think about 160 pages was the longest I've seen. What is is about Tali'Zorah that would inspire this kind of devotion? I mean no disrespect here. I am sincerely curious and eagerly await any serious replies in that thread.

Hi. I know you all are probably used to seeing all manner of trolls in this thread, but please, believe me...I'm not one of them. I like Tali a lot, but like many others, I am having difficulties seeing what would drive even loyal fans to create a thread that is nearly 5000 pages in length. Please believe me that I am absolutely sincere in my intent here. I warmly invite anyone who wishes to respond here:
