I kind of think there is already an understanding between the two.  I prefer to judge by the intelligent mature posters that are fans of each thread, and they seem to understand the situation.  Tali is the most popular character, and for that reason, there will be more Tali trolls and extremists and whatever else.  There will also be more intelligent mature posters.  As long as you know those voices are there, I don't see a problem.  You just have to understand that the wise voices are drowned out by the idiots who are louder.

There are always going to be the immature posters and trolls, no matter what anyone does.  I just ignore them and don't worry about them.  If hating makes them happy, so be it.

We believe in civility over here. We really do. We're perfectly willing to talk about pretty much anything if it's presented in a sane way.
The sad thing is; a lot of people come in and act like raving ass-hats; spamming the thread posting upsetting pictures, and other general douchbagarry.
We're a nice group of boys and girls, but we're also very protective of our #1 Quarian. Is it possible we've eared a kind of 'boogieman' status because of it?

There is currently a thread started about the "Tali thread phenomenon", why it is so long. Please believe me...I'm just very curious. I've been at this internet thingie a long time, and a member of lots of boards...and until now, I think about 160 pages was the longest I've seen. What is is about Tali'Zorah that would inspire this kind of devotion? I mean no disrespect here. I am sincerely curious and eagerly await any serious replies in that thread.

Unfortunately that thread already has its fair share of "haters" who I thought were just posting because they need to vent their anger, hate or fear of something they don't understand.

For example, someone mentioned our thread posting nothing but bad artwork, how is this :



"bad artwork" I have to ask. Perhaps they can do better?

Or perhaps they are simply jealous that their own fan art had never been picked up by other gaming blogs and featured :

Also, I believe that every one of us has tried all the romance possibilities from Kelly and her stripper dance in your room, Jack who becomes emotionally attached and relatively stable because of Shepard and of course Miranda. I don't really have much to say about Miranda simply because she's just way too much like an ex of mine.

Tali's character, however had the perfect mix of innocence and streetwise, she's has a much better body shape then any of the other LIs, Jack a little "boyish" while Miranda's just a little over exaggerated.
The most important reason for me though, from both a gaming stand point and from a personal perspective is that Tali is the ONLY person other then Garrus to have stayed true to you from ME1. Both Liarra and Ashley abandoned you in one form or another. Liarra could not give up her need for revenge, while Ashley refused to see reason or beyond that Cerberus badge and cite you as a traitor even after you just saved her and half the colony on Horizon. 

Tali on the other hand, showed her feelings when you first met her . I am sure by this time a "shoot on sight" order has been given to any Quarian in regards to any Cerberus agents, which the other Quarians were more then willing to carry out if not for Tali. She saw *you*, Shepard come back from the dead with Cerberus and her first reaction was...to find out if it was really you and then she gave you her trust. What more needs to be said?

First off thanks for laying it down like that.  Second that is my favorite ME2 artwork.  I am making a poster out of that bad boy.  Tali is the truth and she loves you to the point that she will stay by your side even if she is mad at you.  More then any other Tali is a real woman through and through.  Almost all of the art work on our thread is pure win with more coming everyday.  I find it amusing to see other speaking on a thread about a thread but as long as the trolls stay out of here all is well.  Hate on Hater
