Tali is really great in ME2. Hope Bioware doesn't mess it up in ME3.

Tali explains this I think in the first game, Quarians lived normally like any other species but when they were forced from their homeworld by Geth, they lived in highly controlled enviroment in few generations quarians began to lose the natural immunity and were bound to live in their suits. Or at least that's what I remember might a bit different lol.
