I always held that conversation more against Tali than Jacob to be honest.  Tali has plenty of reason to hate Cerberus, but disliking Jacob, and being purposely rude to him when she has never talked to him before seems rather hypocritical for her.  Its the only time she doesn't really show an open mind.

I actually agree. She was unnecessarily rude to him.

But with that said, she's Tali, so I still side with her.

Agreed.  In fact  I'm considering making playthrough where they get killed off, just to see what happens in ME2.  Saved everyone the first time (though I was briefly tempted to see if I could get the 'long service' (finish imported game) achievement WITHOUT getting the 'against all odds' (survive suicide mission) achievement, just for lulz).
