Eh, depends on how you played Shepard. I, for instance, felt saving Joker was appropriate, as I am the almighty Paragon of light and justice.

Then send the guy who salutes you when you go down the left stairwell in ME1 to get him.  Joker's still saved, as is the galaxy.  :wizard:

Imagine if Joker was the one who got spaced and Shepard had to sit around in bars for two years drinking and telling war stories until Cerberus kidnap him to their secret base to show him the excellent news: they've rebuilt Joker! And then Wilson reprograms the mechs and they hafta fight their way out etc...

I love this one, people always ask why Tali is so loved.  This is a pretty good summary if you don't want to spend half an hour typing up all of Tali's good characteristics

Heh. Sometimes theres a little bit of overblown rhetoric about Tali love being superior because of it being somehow more "pure" but come on. Cute voice, tech girl, hips. I'm not saying Tali isn't a great character, but she's basically nerd catnip.

But that's just one demographic.  Tali appeals to much more than just nerds.  In fact, I think the stats show that she appeals to pretty much everyone willing to look past the shallowest of barriers.

I wouldn't play pure Paragon if I
could help it. It just seems that I default to those choices. Hell, I'm
starting my first Renegade playthrough as I post this.

I was almost entirely paragon in ME1, in ME2, I end up pretty close to 50/50 just making gut calls.  Unfortunately, that doesn't help much for persuasion, so I tend to go with my gut on major decisions, and stay constantly paragon or renegade with the decisions that don't really change based on what you pick.

Always fully paragon with my crew and whoever deserves it though.  It just so happens there aren't nearly as many good people in ME2 compared to ME1.

Some of the renegade options kick ass though.  The intimidate for the admirals in Tali's trial kills the paragon one, and a lot of the intimidates on random criminals sound a lot better than the charm counterparts.

My main shep was paragon, my main femshep  but I also have a main vanderloo shep and  he is renegade. all after that was mixed

Even my renegade femshep won't be able to ignore the Tali ParaHug, once I get that far.

There is a large difference between renegade and super renegade.  Not hugging Tali is what makes the jump.  No normal renegade player would ever skip hugging Tali. :police:

Even when I play renegade to my fullest I have trouble being a total jerk to my crew. Even the biggest pro-human renegade Shep has to have a soft spot for Tali.

It kinda annoys me that generally Renegade = 'This human is all racist'.  Can't Shepard be all 'defend the galaxy at any cost' without coming across as human supremacist?

I really liked Pressly's journal in the Normandy crash site. It was basically Tali who initiated his changed attitude in regards to aliens.

And really, who could be surprised?

The crew was what always stopped any Renegade playthrough before. I couldn't stand being mean to my team.

Well I think part of it is that you were never intended to always pick the bottom/top option.  So its more that they put in a human supremecist option, and the logical location is the bottom of the wheel.

For the record, I've filled up the renegade bar without ever coming across those lines.  So its a all human supremecists are renegade, but not all renegades are human supremecists, situation.
