Seriously though, the only thing that I believe is noted as being a big difference, other then you normal rubber forehead aliens stuff, is that I believe quarian's have weird or non-existent ears. That doesn't stop people from liking Asari.

and their 3 fingers and chicken feet. other than that there's only a difference with their inner body.

She's got that darn endoskeleton. I was hoping for for an exoskeleton. Collectors got it going on.

Edited to add- Darn it, forgot to mention the obvious stuff. Yep feet/hands, big difference.

Their legs bend differently as well.  They also seem to have a different body shape in general, (hips )

There are a few differences, but quarians do appear very similar to humans.

I have a feeling that if it weren't for their suits, the reaction towards Quarians in the ME games would've been:

Guy 1: "Wtf, Bioware got lazy with Quarians. They're just humans with three fingers and reverse amino-acid chirality"

Guy 2: "Yeah. I think the only reason they even gave them opposite chirality was as a crutch to make them seem more 'different'"

Well you can obviously justify stuff like the asari appearance.  Anyone complaining about an alien species being too humanoid is probably pretty likely to ignore stuff like that though.  They would be concerned only with first look appearance.  Which is very human female.

Man, it's still hard to think that Tali was designed like that without intentions of making her a love interest. Unless they were operating under the assumption that all alien ladies are hot by human standards. This is space opera after all.
