I still meant no offense, just so you know. I wanted to be fair and have a fair understanding of the difference. I was expecting a flame war as the Tali fans have more reason to be defensive than the Liara fans. You proved me wrong, and I respect you very much for that.

She was curious why Tali fans and Liara fans can't get along, and that got me thinking.

I wanted to compare the reactions I got from the Liara fans to the one I got from you. My first post is a copy and paste of my post in the Liara thread, but with many details changed. You all were polite at first and stayed that way for four pages, for the most part. In the same number of pages one of the posters on the Liara thread threated to belt me had I said what I did to her face. You have proven that your code is superior. Even when I had said a veiled insult you all accepted my difference of opinion. The mechanic discussion is very similar to one I had at the Liara thread, except that you all took me at my word and interpreted what I said literally, whereas the Liara thread people chose to take my words at their connotation.

I would say that you should post your findings out there but then the Liara fans might troll you

Yeah, acting like my brother can do that.  I accept people and don't judge them, which is why it was hard to convincingly act like I did.

You even posted the first part where you say "I don't mean to flame in any way" and people still flamed you? When I read that, you seem like a normal curious poster, why would anyone threaten to belt you (unless they were being sarcastic)

don't say that, PS isn't very hard.. just start like I did, recoloring basic thing and with time you'll get to know your way around on a basic level like me

I used to be a mechanic while I was in the Navy. Right now I am an unemployed bum of a student working for his Associates in Engineering (not sure which field yet). So there you have it....cats out of the bag

They can't?  I guess I haven't spent much time in the Liara thread, but I'd consider myself a fan of both... am I internally conflicted? 

Perhaps they feel threatened by people who "fled" to other LI's because of the general consensus that Liara is acting like a selfish, obsessive ****, and that she has "abandoned" Shepard.  I don't agree with that assessment, but it is a common sentiment nonetheless.

Honestly pretty much all discussion stopped in the Liara thread after a bit.  There were really only two people who acted poorly out of all of them, so I see no reason to say that all Liara fans are bad or that all Tali fans are good.  I still disagree with Jake, who you said posted bad pics and anyone else who posts a bad pic, but I can respect a creepy person more than a person who takes my words an twists them before responding.
