You only get to select one block per catagory. It's like a demo.

no whenever I select "Create new character" it shows a blacked out sihoullette.

Oh. That is  weird. Only thing I can think of is your video card isn't good enough... but it probably is.

You could download one of those driver detectors, but I'd just go onto the Nvidia site, look for the drivers and reinstall them, doesn't take too long and can't hurt anything

Well thank you for the time you're volunteering. We can always use more peacekeepers. Can't afford civil war when the reapers are still out there.

He should uninstall any existing GPU drivers first though, if one is to believe some of the tech talk to be found on the interwebz.
