Agreed, Jacob is a compelling and pretty relatable character IMO. He's honest about everything, keeps his composure all the time and I personally considered him the best of all Cerberus people because of his reservations and willingness to question their methods. I certainly would trust him to stand by my side and support me when it counts.

Also, sadly, the forums have another awkward little hate thread.

Bosh'tet. Just so we know what we're opposing, in our cultivated way.
Anyone else notice how the Talimancers are an intelligent, well-mannered, affectionate, grown up people with a good taste for humor while the haters generally come off as insecure kids, wildly hurling obscenities around?

Makes me love you, friends. And Tali  <3

If I had to choose someone to die, all I know is that it would not be Zaeed. But not for the reason you're thinking.

Listen to the guy's stories. Everytime he should have died, it was all his friends that were wiped out instead. Sending Zaeed on a suicide mission would be sealing my own fate.

But seriously, if someone volunteered (Garrus, Thane, Jacob, whoever besides Tali) I'd probably take them up on it. I'm sick of protagonist-dies game endings. Fallout 3 made me rage hard (though that was in part because it was so contrived).

Hmm I'm now at the mission where I can choose to give the Shadow Broker info about Cerberus, or refuse that offer. Did anyone encounter anything in ME2 that was affected by this decision?

No. Just credits(because they're sooo useful in ME1)

I did give them the info and do not recall anything about it in ME2.

I actually brought this up cpl days ago.  Apparently this has no effect or reference in ME2 other than Tali mentioning it.  Whether you give the Shadow Broker info or not doesn't matter it would seem.

Ha, good point. Well, he's dead in my game anyway. Was the only crew member not loyal to me, sent him to escort the crew back.

Yeah that's why I just ignore those idiots.  But if other Talimancers want to politely tell them why and how they are wrong, I have nothing against that.  The fact that we have totalled over 2000 pages of Tali love and the haters usually stop around 5 each time says it all.

I made goddam sure he survived.  I liked the guy.  He could take a sock in the jaw like a man and admit he was wrong.  I kinda doubt he'll get the ME3 treatment, but I wouldn't mind seeing him there.

Nope. Perhaps it will have effect on ME3 together with the similar choice in ME2, where you can give the info to cerberus, to the alliance or keep it for future use.

Thanks for all the responses. Tali mentions it? Only if you DO sell the info, you mean?

I liked him, too. But it was the one I deemed most expendable and, more importantly, to make him loyal I would have had to sacrifice civilians and there's no other way to get his loyalty. Annoying.

No, by getting the data you ensure you get the extra line of Tali Dialogue when you recruit her. Selling it does nothing in that regard.

@HK01 never underestimate the power of blue dialogue

You can talk him into being loyal without sacrificing innocents.

Nah, Tali just says something like "remember Shepard this is the group that thought (something something) using the Thorian was a good idea."  its right after you recruit her I think.

Replayed to save his life.
And killed Vido everytime. would've been a lot lot worse if we let that sonova**** live. Hell, a lot of fanfics have him coming back and causeing a whole mess o' trouble :P I seemed to be one of the few people who thought long term and went to kill that bastard.

Plus, Blue Suns Pyros look very cool.

Working on chapter 13 of my fanfic at the moment, I'd appreciate feedback - positive or negative (though negative more so - helps you grow) - from anyone and everyone.

Link in my sig, below the Tali banner.

Too bad I'm not able to provide negative critique..

Amazing stuff, really! I just read chapter 12 and now I'm pushing throught all the other chapters like a bloodraging Krogan. Great choices of words, the atmosphere is awesome and the feeling of being there, or seeing it all like a movie or something, is outstandingly wellmade.

Keelah Se'lai, Turel! You make me proud to be a member of this community lol

Cheers very much, that made me smile! I got wrapped up in my work so couldn't visit the thread for a couple of hours and when I come back I see this!

Hope you enjoy part 13, which I am half way through now. :)

Incorrect.  Choose to save the civilians.  There's a blue text option at the end to convince him he was being a jerk and letting his petty feud endanger the mission.  That's why I say he can admit he was wrong.

Can't stand Zaeed. He was a total jerk. Great in combat, but I hated it when he had anything to say in conversations because it was always mean and furthering his personal goals.

Ah, alright, thanks for all the responses, again.

I'm also very curious to see what that mentioned side-quest info will turn out to be, the one that you can keep, give to Cerb or to the Alliance. *Very* curious.

I thought long term too.
1. Can't prove he'll cause more trouble, it's not like his death will make the blue suns disappear either.
2. The mission isn't to kill vido, it's to save the workers.
3. Sacrificing the workers for the chance to kill vido on the chance he might kill more people is pretty vile.

Well, all I know about Vido is that he's behind that prothean "beacon" side-mission. But that mission is available with or without Zaeed, I think.
