Agreed, Jacob is a compelling and pretty relatable character IMO. He's honest about everything, keeps his composure all the time and I personally considered him the best of all Cerberus people because of his reservations and willingness to question their methods. I certainly would trust him to stand by my side and support me when it counts.

Also, sadly, the forums have another awkward little hate thread.

Bosh'tet. Just so we know what we're opposing, in our cultivated way.
Anyone else notice how the Talimancers are an intelligent, well-mannered, affectionate, grown up people with a good taste for humor while the haters generally come off as insecure kids, wildly hurling obscenities around?

Makes me love you, friends. And Tali  <3

Yeah that's why I just ignore those idiots.  But if other Talimancers want to politely tell them why and how they are wrong, I have nothing against that.  The fact that we have totalled over 2000 pages of Tali love and the haters usually stop around 5 each time says it all.

Trolls are trolls. Don't post.

If no one responds to obvious trolls their post vanishes off the front page in a hanful of minutes. If they keep spamming the same thread or self bumping they'll get suspended/banned.

Ignore trolls.

Agree with both of you.
Wasting long words on them is pointless anyway.

Oh, wow, page 500 :o

You probably all know this pic from the 1st post, but it's quite a long ago and I felt the need to celebrate.
This pic strikes something within me, I just wish to build her a house where she could touch real flowers bare skinned and not worry about dying.

Ah, alright, thanks for all the responses, again.
I'm also very curious to see what that mentioned side-quest info will turn out to be, the one that you can keep, give to Cerb or to the Alliance. *Very* curious.

I couldn't care less what the outcome was on that one.  That was the first chance I got in ME2 to stick it to Cerberus and I took it.  Felt good.

(Again, I reserve the right to suddenly care if the outcome is sufficiently horrific.)

Probably gives you chance to destroy Cerberus in ME3 if you kept it, Alliance destroys Cerberus if you gave it to them, and if you give it to Cerberus you get brownie points with TIM.

Not giving them the information ends with "My employer will remember this the next time you require something from us.", so I assume this might have actual repercussions in ME3. Sweet!

I thought long term too.
1. Can't prove he'll cause more trouble, it's not like his death will make the blue suns disappear either.
2. The mission isn't to kill vido, it's to save the workers.
3. Sacrificing the workers for the chance to kill vido on the chance he might kill more people is pretty vile.

On the chance? On The Chance?!
piles of data worth of information can be found where he approves sick interigations, gruesome murders, piracy attacks, and downright betrayal of an exogeni sciene team who had found a prothean artifact. He ordered his men to Kill Everyone There just to keep it to himself to sell. Vido Santiago is a disgusting excuse for a human and i felt great pleasure in watching that son of a **** burn.

Yes, chance. With Zaeed on his tail and getting close Vido is probably going to lay low.

ANd how bad is Vido really if you're willing to abandon your mission and let all those people burn to death.

If I had to choose someone to die, all I know is that it would not be Zaeed. But not for the reason you're thinking.

Listen to the guy's stories. Everytime he should have died, it was all his friends that were wiped out instead. Sending Zaeed on a suicide mission would be sealing my own fate.

But seriously, if someone volunteered (Garrus, Thane, Jacob, whoever besides Tali) I'd probably take them up on it. I'm sick of protagonist-dies game endings. Fallout 3 made me rage hard (though that was in part because it was so contrived).

Overlooking his moment of temporary madness due to being blinded by a thirst for revenge, I actually found Zaeed quite likeable. Like the uncle with a metric ton of useful life experience. He'd make a fine mentor in a number of ways and in a fire fight he's as solid as they come.

An uncle of several metric tons of evil and disgustingly brutal life experience. Remember, he once was in charge of the Blue Suns like Vido.

I concur, I never understood why people thought he was so flat. He even accepts your decision to not go after vido with an impressive amount of professionalism. He knows he can't go after him alone, and just accepts it.

@penguin.

Being the leader of a merc group doesn't make you evil. It just makes you a soldier of fortune. He didn't want to start hiring batarians because he felt they were "goddamn terrorist". He kept it civil, as far as merc groups go atleast, untill Vido betrayed him.

True.
Enough so that I almost always took him to the Derelict Reaper and sometimes even for the boss fight.
I stopped with that after I had to catch him instead of Tali once.
Yuck.
