Just starting Noveria with my Renegade MaleShep. Currently 50% Renegade, 25% Paragon. Likely to make major Paragon choices here, though.

You're not really alone. I remember reading a poll that asked, in general, if people play as 'good guys' or 'bad guys'. I think the difference was about 70% or 30% or so.
Something close to that.

A lot of people like playing the good guy.
Nothing wrong with being evil every now and then. I know it made for a fun Fallout 3 run.

Renegade is the penultimate 2nd playthrough. It's purely for fun, I'll bet even less than 30% are truly Renegades. Maybe 10% Renegade, 20% Renegon, 30% Paragade, 40% Paragon.

Bioware puts in moral dilemmas to feel us out. Helping Giana Parisini and turning in Pitne For doesn't get you anything physically, but we make that choice anyway and do the right thing. That's why Bioware is the best.

I think one of the only reasons people want Shiala as an LI is because she is one of the hottest asari in the game, lol.  Don't get me wrong, I like her character, and I kinda liked her little flirtation with you on Illium.  A "light" romance (a-la Kelly), taking place over a few conversations and maybe a "date" cutscene or something might be justified, or maybe even a quest to help her with her "medical condition", but I don't see why she would want to join your crew.  She has a place on Feros, and she seems committed to helping those people.  It doesn't really make any sense to have a full-on romance or squad member status for her.

I was more referring to this thread in general.  I don't usually go beyond the safe confines of the Tali thread.

And around here it always seems like 85% super paragon, 5% leaning paragon, 5% neutral and 5% leaning renegade.  I'm sure its not quite that heavy, but the large majority of Talimancers are paragon.

Oh, I meant the split was 70/30 for games in general that let you pick good or evil. I think for ME the numbers for Renegade would be much lower as well. I know I couldn't do it. Not even for the achievement. I managed to get as far as the Rachni Queen, but that's where I lost it. After a good 5 minutes of just sitting there arguing with myself I finally gave up and saved her.
